Creek Kids is excited to begin reopening our Creek Kids areas over the next month! We have prayed and researched to make the best decisions for our church family and community and are so excited to see you and your children again and to be able to engage with the Gospel together!
We do understand that each family must come to their own decisions about their involvement during this season and ask that everyone who participates in Creek Kids abide by the guidelines that are set in place and also show kindness and respect to others who may have different opinions. We are all unified in our mission to follow Christ and make disciples!
If you have any questions or suggestions, please email Caroline during the week rather than sharing it during Creek Kid activities. We want to focus on loving your children when they are in Creek Kids!
Beginning this Sunday, August 30, our Little Creek Kids area will be open for infants through preschool (not yet entered preK) during the 11:00 service only. We hope to open Children’s Worship during the 11:00 service within a few weeks.
We have redesigned check-in and our classroom set-ups to be easily cleaned and to spread children out to minimize contact as much as possible. You will need to sign up in advance to reserve a spot in one of our three classes so that we can maintain a small class size. At sign-up, you will be asked to answer a couple of questions regarding the health of your child(ren). We appreciate your assistance in keeping children at home who may be ill.
- Please only send one parent to check-in and drop-off and do not bring extra children to the preschool area if at all possible.
- Please bring a diaper, change of clothes and any other essentials your child needs in a gallon Ziploc bag labeled with your child’s name. No diaper bags will be taken into the classroom.
- Please make sure your child has eaten breakfast and/or a snack before coming. No snacks will be served in the classroom.
- Please bring your child in a clean diaper or take them to the restroom before check-in. Diapers will only be changed in an emergency. We will gladly allow them to use the restroom as needed, but assistance will be minimized.
At check-in, your child will receive a preprinted name tag and you will receive the matching security tag. We will check everyone’s temperature and all leaders will be wearing masks. When your child enters the classroom, we will immediately wash hands. Each child (toddler and older) will have their own tub with supplies each week that will be reserved only for their use. All Creek Kids guidelines from the safety handbook are still in effect.
We hope you will join us for our Wonderful Wednesday parking lot picnic next Wednesday, September 2 from 6-7 pm! Preregistration is required to reserve your parking place! Families will have two spaces reserved and we will skip a space in between. Bring your own picnic and lawn chairs. The King of Pops Popsicle cart will be on campus with prepackaged treats for us! Look for an AWANA registration email early next week to let us know that you plan to participate in AWANA this year! AWANA books will be available Wednesday night at our parking lot picnic to those who preregister. Our current plan is to begin AWANA on September 16 and meet from 6-7 pm on Wednesday evenings. It will look different! Families will be expected to remain on campus, and we will do activities outside for the first few weeks, weather permitting. More information to come on AWANA!
