Pastors Jaime and Jorge Perez
Ivy Creek Baptist partners with two Pastors Jaime and Jorge. These two brothers and pastors have a passion for Christ and the people of Guatemala. They started a church in Zone 21, Guatemala City nine years ago and have since started many church plants in Patzún and Progresso and have partnered with a church in Camphor.
The communities they serve are impoverished areas where drugs, alcohol, and gang membership have taken their toll. Ivy Creek Baptist sends monthly support and mission teams yearly to visit local schools, homes, participate in church services, conduct VBS at local churches, and help with construction projects. Our goal is to spread the gospel of Christ to these communities by loving, teaching, serving and encouraging.
Projects
Chicken Project - Patzún
In 2019 funds were raised for a chicken coop that would provide much needed source of protein to the church and community and a way for the church to raise funds. Currently, eggs are being sold at below cost to the community to help minister and disciple God’s blessings. The church leaders help tend to the chickens and sell to the community.
