Today we spent our first full day in Patzun. In the morning we went to a new school outside of town. There are only 38 students who attend this school. There was no school there before this school year. The children did not go to school. The community came together and built the school for the children. Because they are so far from town the government does not support the school. We presented the gospel by telling a bible story and demonstrating how Jesus takes away our sins. We also provided snacks, sang songs, and played games. The children enjoyed our company and the principal appreciated the school supplies Ivy Creek’s AWANA’s program collected.
After visiting the school we went to the Village of the Miracle and visited 6 homes. We shared the gospel with salvation bracelets and gave the families a big of food and supplies. We also invited them to come to the church service tomorrow night.
After lunch we came back to the Village of the Miracle and did VBS for around 30 kids. We did a Bible story, craft, snack, and games. It was neat to see the kids listen and play.
Over all it was a wonderful day. God is using us to bless the communities Pastors Jaime and Jorge serve. Thank you for your prayers. They are helping us as we share the Gospel to the people of Guatemala.
