1. Believers should be encouraged to know that when things are bad and headed for worse, the invisible hand of God is often at work through seemingly insignificant events to reverse our fortunes and bring about our deliverance.
2. Unbelievers should be warned that though circumstances may appear great, living self-centered lives will ultimately bring about a reversal of fortune that will lead to their downfall.
