Sermon in a Sentence
A thankful heart is a rescued heart convinced of God’s protection, a forgiven heart assured of God’s mercy, and a humble heart contented with God’s will.
- Though opposition and persecution will come, the righteous Lord can be counted on to defend and deliver those who trust in Him and defeat those who do not.
- Though plunged into the depths of hopelessness by our sin, those who cry out to the Lord for mercy will receive pardon and restoration.
- Though tempted by pride, arrogance, and ambition to trust in ourselves, our true hope rests in a humble confidence in the will of God.
